Braganza, a privately held investment company based in Norway, acquires Scandinavian Cruise Center (SCC) located in Copenhagen, Denmark. SCC started it’s operation in 1991 and has been a pioneer in selling cruises to the Danish market. In 2010 the turnover was mdkk 56.

With the brands Escape Cruises and Escape Travel, Braganza has a presence in the Norwegian and the Swedish cruise markets.

Ole Kyed will be the new Managing Director of SCC and joins the company from August 18. Kyed was until June 2011 Operational Director of the river cruise operator Quality Tours. He has travel industry experience from Tivoli in Copenhagen and the Danish tour operator Spies. Gunnar Grosvold, with more that 20 years tour operating experience from Saga, Ving and Thomas Cook, will be Chairman of SCC.
